Miles Douglas Anthony

Mr. Miles Douglas “Doug” Anthony a native and current resident of Evergreen Alabama, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Crowne Health Care of Greenville Alabama.

He retired from Courtaulds in 1989 after 37 years. During his employment and until 2010 he was a cattle farmer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kay Vickery officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Doug is survived by his daughter Edith (Larry) Morrison of Evergreen AL, son Mitchell Anthony of Evergreen AL, his grandchildren Russell Morrison, Richard “Lee” Anthony and Luke Anthony, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Doug was preceded in death by his parents Emmitt and Ruby Anthony and stepfather George Anthony, his brothers Ralph Anthony and Randolph “Doc” Anthony, his wife of 55 years Louise Varner Anthony in December of 2002.

Pallbearers will be Russell Morrison, Lee Anthony, Luke Anthony, Kenneth Varner, Skip Stacey and Steve Dunn.
