I extend my sincere condolences to the Edeker family on their loss. Jehovah God promises us that through his son Jesus, he will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Revelation 21:3,4
Please take comfort from this promise during your time of bereavement.

I've always respected this man from little league baseball to helping me (or rather pushing me) to becoming an Eagle Scout. He will be dearly missed. My sympathy to the family.

Barbara and family...by now you know the impact that Ed had on me just as a fellow hobbyist. You meet a lot of people in the realm of collecting that Ed and I shared. Hundreds and hundreds. However certain ones stand out. The ones who are about the people in the hobby. Not just "friendly" people, but "fraternal" ones...the ones whose handshakes and eye contact have more presence than the average. Ed was one of those fraternal guys. As I've told you and already declared to all in our hobby, Ed epitomized the term "gentleman". A pure soul that the world longs for in the day to day pace of life.
Our interactions were not frequent, as there is quite a bit of distance between Evergreen Alabama and Toronto Canada, but when we did rekindle our acquaintance, it was always special. Your Ed was a pretty selfless man and one dedicated to family and the things that truly matter. I was able to show you the public declarations from people whom Ed touched over the years...people from all over the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, even Ghana in Africa....quite the ambassador he was...
Anyways, I am saddened that we all lost Ed from this earth, but I know that the man's spirit was strong while he walked this planet, and convinced that same spirit will continue to live within the good things we will see around us until it is our own turn to pass. Blessings to you and your family.
