Willie J. Etheridge

Mr. Willie J Etheridge of Paul Community passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his residence. He was 81.

Mr. Etheridge faithfully attended Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He loved spending time camping and boating with family. He especially enjoyed Sunday gatherings at his home. He loved to dog hunt in his younger years. He worked hard all his life to only retire six years ago because of his sickness. He was a small farmer and grew the best watermelons. He will be missed by family and friends especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Willie J Etheridge will be held 10:00 am., Friday, August 5, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tyler Ingram will be officiating. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.

Mr. Etheridge is survived by, his loving wife Patsy Jean Etheridge of Paul Community, daughters Cherrie Gladwell (Wayne) of Evergreen Lynn McCollough (Danny) of Red Level, brother, Andrew Etheridge of Paul Community, sisters, Bama Hendrix of Evergreen and Frances Pitts (Bobby) of Evergreen, grandchildren, Dewayne Gladwell (Khristin), Zachary Gladwell (Tiffany Pettis), Cory Scott (Krystina), Brittany Sexton (Wes), great grandchildren, Jaiden, Anna Claire, Bella, Kinsley, Colt, Paris, Josie, Reagan, Mason, Aron, Cooper, Harlie, Krista and Della.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Roxie Etheridge, brothers, Alvin Etheridge and Johnnie Etheridge, sisters, Dorothy Hildreth and Alice Davidson.

Serving as pallbearers, Dewayne Gladwell, Zachary Gladwell, Cory Scott, Ray Etheridge, Wes Sexton and Terry Etheridge.
