Mr. Waymon “Gene” Stubbs, of Evergreen passed away Monday, September 27, 2021. He was 84.
Mr. Stubbs was a committed and dedicated Alabama State trooper and served his community 22 plus years before his retirement.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 2, at Olive Branch Baptist Church cemetery. Rev. Herbert Brown will officiate. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors are his, son, John Stubbs of Evergreen; daughter, Millicent Stubbs of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 grandchildren, Catherine Elizabeth Stubbs, Ashlee Carter Stubbs, Aaron Jonathan Salter, Matthew Quentin Salter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Stubbs and his parents, Homer A. Stubbs and Alzada Bolen Stubbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to the Olive Branch Church Building Fund.
