Mrs. Velma Jean Moorer (Kindig) Durant of Evergreen passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at her residence. She was 86.
Funeral services will be held 11 am., Monday, January 8, 2024 at Evergreen Methodist Church. Her son Robert Moorer, Marty Haynes and Rev. Joe Bush will officiate. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 pm., until 6 pm., Sunday, January 7, 2024 Cope-Keahey Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church Monday, January 8, 2024. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include, son, Robert H. Moorer Jr. of Evergreen, sisters, Betty Sue Haynes of Saraland, Al and Alvin Lola Hain of Belleville, IL.
Serving as pallbearers, Michael Lambert, Colton Lambert, Brady Gaskin, Grover Hart, Wyatt Mills and Johnny Stowers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Conecuh County Sheriff’s Department.
Mrs. Durant was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Moorer Sr. and Bill Durant, son Al Moorer and sister Eddie Bell Persons.
