Mr. Thomas W. Salo, of Evergreen passed away March 28, 2025 in a Pensacola Hospital. He was 78.

Tom most notably worked at First Alabama Bank later Regions Bank for 23 years where he served as Vice President. He ended his professional career as an Insurance Auditor for the State of Alabama. Tom was also a dedicated Rotarian, where he was awarded as the Paul Harris Fellow. Tom loved spending time with family, especially with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and his time on the Alabama River. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Herbert Brown will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Arkadelphia Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cope-Keahey directing.

Survivors include, loving wife, Betty Salter Salo of Evergreen, son, Sandy (Julie) Salo of Evergreen, daughter, Morgan Salo (Matt Wilkins), of Pensacola, step-children, Jeff Baggett of Kentucky, Kimberly (Greg) Davis of Evergreen and Kelly (Gene) Lyles of Smith Station, brother, Billy (Judy) Wallace of West Virginia, grandchildren Livi Salo, Liam Salo and 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Salo was preceded in death by his, parents, Wilhart Salo and Luise Salo, siblings, Johnny Wallace, Marion Bock and Betty Lou Hornbecker.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
