Thomas Jackson “Jack” Gladwell went to be with Jesus at the age of 82 on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was 82.
Jack proudly served in the Army National Guard after high school. He then went on to earn his State Board of Embalming in April of 1970. Jack worked at Cope Funeral Home for 33 years as a mortician and Cope Flower Shop. He was a successful businessman and shortly after retirement purchased Cope Flower Shop with his wife Rose. They both faithfully provided service to the residents of Evergreen with their love, kindness, and servitude for over twenty years. He faithfully served as Elder and treasurer for fifteen years at Evergreen Church of Christ. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. We will miss him. His wisdom and goodness have blessed our lives for many years.
Jack was proceeded in death by his son, Robert Keith Gladwell; parents, Claude and Edna Gladwell; brothers, Haiman and Lawrence Gladwell.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm., Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Old Town Church Cemetery. Bro. Andy Peavy and Minister Mike Jones will officiate. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Rose Grant Gladwell; son, Thomas Wayne Gladwell (Cherrie); daughter, Jacqueline Gladwell “Jackie” Murphy (Turner); four grandchildren, Dewayne Gladwell (Khristin), Scarlett Turner (Cody), Zack Gladwell, and J.T Murphy (Lindsey); nine great-grandchildren, Jayden Gladwell, Anna Claire Gladwell, Harper Rose Turner, Bella Gladwell, Kinsley Gladwell, Colt Gladwell, Kelly Turner, Paisley Murphy, and Pierce Murphy.
