Sidney Marlyn Hamilton

Mr. Sidney Marlyn Hamilton of Belleville passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his residence. He was 95.

He honorably served his country in the United States Navy and Army. He also worked for many years in civil service. After retiring, he returned home and spent his days farming, growing vegetables, and taking care of his cattle. He loved the Lord and served him in numerous ways as a deacon at Riverside Baptist and Belleville Baptist. Always being a witness for Jesus to everyone he met. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm., Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Belleville Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Oswald and Dennis Owens will officiate. Interment will follow in the Belleville Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years Joyce A. Hamilton, four children, Carl, Joy, Gay, and Jan, grandchildren, Josh Roberson, Cory Roberson, Ryan Roberson, Kate Smith, Kristin Strickland, Kevin Dunn, Andrew Dunn, and Skylar Dunn, great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Faith, Emma, Grant, Brooks, Jacob, Remi, Sydney, Liam, Trevor, Tristan, Hunter, Haley, Hazleigh, and Kannien, great-great grandchild, Amir.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons and The Heart Association.
