Sheila Angela Sanford, age 67 of McKenzie, AL, passed away Tuesday July 29, 2025 at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, FL.  She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Herbert and Peggy Wyrosdick Sanford, her brother Gary Jonathan Sanford, her sister-in-law Katrine Sanford and brother-in-law Lamar Williams.  She was born on February 5, 1958 at Covington Memorial Hospital in Andalusia, AL.  She is a 1976 graduate of McKenzie High School.  She dedicated many years to a career in Radiology at L.V. Stabler Memorial Hospital in Greenville, AL and Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL.  She was known for her exceptional care and compassionate demeanor with her patients.  Sheila will be remembered for her kind heart, giving nature and her love for cooking.  She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend always putting others first.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sheila is survived by her brother Walter David Sanford McKenzie, AL, her sister Vivian Melinda Williams McKenzie, AL; 8 nieces and nephews Missi Ledbetter (Mark Billish) Pensacola, FL, Jason Williams (Alicia) Evergreen, AL, David Sanford Sr. McKenzie, AL, Stephanie Williams Evergreen, AL, Jessica Wingard (Derrick) New Brockton, AL, Danielle Lisabelle (Brandon) Evergreen, AL, Derrick Williams (Olivia) Greenville, AL, and Jonathan Sanford (Jamie) Brewton, AL; 13 great nieces and nephews Grace Carrier (Paul Mears), Dagny Ledbetter, Sarah Williams, Murfee Williams, David Sanford Jr., Emma Sanford, Keith Davis, Miranda Wingard, Lydia Wingard, Preston Williams, Adalynn Williams, Brantley Woodson and Della Sanford; 1 great-great niece Leilani Martinez.  

A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 9th at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home Chapel Evergreen, AL. The receiving of friends and family will be held from 11am-12pm with the service to follow.
