Sara N. (Fussell) Baggett

Mrs. Sara N. Baggett, age 86 of Evergreen died Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaither Z. Fussell and Carrie Dell Fussell, brothers, Winfred Fussell, Edward Fussell, Bobby Fussell, Johnny Fussell, Earl Fussell, Billy Fussel land sisters, Katherine Scholar, Betty Scholar, Dorothy Baggett, Louise Brooks, Margaret Zukowoki and Gail Schaver.

Sara and Lavon were married for 67 years. They owned and operated Baggett Furniture Co.  in Evergreen for 42 years. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, shopping and spending time with her family.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sara N. Baggett will be held 2:00pm., Friday, October 8, 2021 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. Bro. Jim Griffin and Bro. Neal Butler will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Baggett Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements. 

Mrs. Baggett is survived by her loving husband, Lavon Baggett of Evergreen, sons, Danny (Dixie) Baggett of Evergreen, Tony (Jo) Baggett of Tuscaloosa and Scott (Connie) Baggett of Orange Beach, daughter, Cindy (Jerry Sr.) Cotton of Evergreen, grandchildren, Jerry Cotton Jr., Brandy (Johnathan) Chandler, Dr. Blake (Taylor) Baggett, Ashley (Eric) Von Bergon, Drew Baggett and Addy Baggett, great-grandchildren, Noah Pettis, Ashlyn Pettis, Aaron Cotton and Kennedy Baggett.
