Ms. Ruby Quates Morris passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 in a Niceville, FL nursing facilty. She was 84.

Ruby was born in Evergreen, Alabama and spent her young life in Foley, Alabama, graduating from Foley High School. She worked as an accounting clerk at NASA in Houston, Texas and later transferred to NAS Pensacola, where she retired from the accounting department after 30 years of service. She live the later part of her life in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Niceville, Florida nearest to her immediate family. Her soul is now free and body renewed in the presence of Jesus.

Graveside services will be held 2pm., Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Arkadelphia Church Cemetery. Rev. Edward Robinson will officiate. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include, Son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Kim Quates of Concord, NC and Daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Renee and Michael Godfrey of Niceville, FL. Grandchildren, Matthew Quates, Ginger Godfrey, Rachel Godfrey, Hope Tevis Godfrey.

Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by her parents; Mary Magdaline Higdon/Ellis-Quates and Robert (Jack) Quates; sister, Ernestine Quates; brothers, Robert Quates, Jr., John W. Quates and Albert C. Quates.
