Robert (Pete) Daniel Reymundo, age 82 of Evergreen passed away May 18, 2026 in a Mobile hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service. Burial will follow at Brownville Memorial Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Reymundo, Donny Reymundo, Lance Atchison, Tray Salter III, Terry Pierce, and Sammy Sosbee. Honorary pallbearers are his great-grandsons, Jeremiah Atchison, James Atchison, John Atchison, Austin Reymundo, D.J. Reymundo, and Adrian Whitehead.

Robert served his country in the US Army in Vietnam. He was very proud of his Vietnam veteran hat and loved striking up conversations when people saw it and thanked him for his service. Military honors will be presented at the graveside.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Earl Reymundo and Mary Etta Waters Reymundo, his siblings, James Kenneth Reymundo “Buddy”, George Nathaniel Reymundo, Ernestine “Tina” Clendenon and son, Gary Daniel Reymundo.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Debra Reymundo Atchison (Lance), Robert Daniel “Danny” Reymundo Jr. (Kim), Donald “Donny” Eugene Reymundo, and Kim Reymundo Lee all from Texas; sister Kathryn (Kat) Salter of Theodore, Alabama; Grandchildren, Jeremiah, James, John, Austin, Kimmy, Jennifer “JJ”, Donald “DJ”, Adrian, Julia, Kirsten, Kristian, and Kendall and 18 Great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and more friends than can be counted.

Robert lived his entire life (minus a stent in the military) in Evergreen Alabama. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards, especially with his weekly poker buddies and his children when they would come to visit.  He was obsessed with old and classic cars. If he wasn’t at home, you could find him on a boat or in the casinos.
