Mrs. Polly V. Salter Hall age 87, of Evergreen passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Evergreen Medical Center.
Polly was born June 25, 1934 in Conecuh County to the late Byron and Etta Varner. She worked several years with Bell South Telephone Co. and many years at Jernigan’s True Value Hardware in Evergreen.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am., Monday, May 2, 2022 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Cliff Morris and Rev. Larry Smith will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5pm., until 7pm., Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the funeral home. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her, sons, John (Deborah) Salter of Greenville, and Robert Wayne (Sheena) Salter of Evergreen, step-sons, Ted (Patricia) Hall of Mobile, Tony Hall and Bernard (Cindy) Hall of Deatsville, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren (from husband Leslie Hall) good friend and cousin, Guy Johnson of Milton, Fl and real good family friend Ivy Tanner Kelley.
She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, John Wesley Salter and Leslie Hall, son, Scott Salter, brothers, Byron Varner Jr. and Joe Varner.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Alex Scott (great grandson), Chris Scott (great grandson), Brandon Salter (grandson), J.C Salter (grandson), Lamonde Scott (grandson In-Law), Robert Harper (grandson In-Law). Honorary pallbearers to be Stephen Waggoner (great grandson) and Corey Mcculley.
