Nelda Bates Obituary

Ms. Nelda B. Bates, of Evergreen passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Evergreen Nursing Home. She was 92.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm., Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Bushfield Cemetery. Bro. Neal Butler and Bro. Jim Griffin will be officiating. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include, son, Kenny Bates (Gwendol) of Evergreen, daughters, Elaine Booker (Johnny) of Evergreen and Karen Baggett of Andalusia, brother, Wayne Bennett of Montgomery, grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Booker, Justin (Olivia) Booker, Josh (Kristy) Bates, Ronda (Chet) Dolihite, Karla (Johnnie) Ward and Jarrett (Savanna) Kirk, great-grandchildren, Alli Booker, Abbi Booker, Jamie Lynn Booker, Sara Dollihite, Ayla Claire Bates, Lilith Kirk, Scarlett Kennie, Madison (Tamberlie) Ward and Zachary (Tapanga) Ward.

Ms. Bates was preceded in death by, her parents, Esker and Lora Sharpe Bennett, sister, Carolyn King, Mazell Bennett and Lucy Davis, granddaughter, Megan Booker.
