Mr. Matthew Davis Jr. of Evergreen passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019. He was 88.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Cope Keahey Chapel with Bro. Larry W. Davis Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until. Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Cope Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include son, Larry (Brenda) Davis of Lenox; daughters, Joanne (Jerrel) Cain of Brewton; Monica Davis of Evergreen; brother, Clayton (Edna) Davis of Lyeffion; sisters, Frances (Joe) Nobles of Evergreen; stepsons, Ravaugh (Jane) Hawsey of Evergreen, Renay (Jackie) Hawsey of Andalusia; grandchildren Jeremy (Lee Ann) Cain, Larry W. (Lora Lee) Davis, Bryan Davis, Whitney (Barry) Harris; step-grandchildren, Michelle Perdue and Tonya Hawsey; great-grandchildren, Junior Davis, Keith Davis, Gavin Jerrel Cain, Logan David  Cain, Angel Davis, Christopher Davis and Kailey Harris.

Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his father Matthew Davis Jr. and mother Lucy Rawls; his beloved wife, Annie Lou Davis; son, David Matthew Davis and sister, Anna Varner.

Pallbearers include Junior Davis, Jason Davis, Nicholas Davis, Andrew Davis, Barry Harris, and Jeremy Cain.

Honorary Pallbearers include Calvin Varner, Skipper Varner and Darrel Davis.
