Mary Juanita (Sims) Townson

Mrs. Mary Juanita Townson of Evergreen passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019, at the Evergreen Nursing Facility. She was 91.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Brooks Cemetery with Rev. Jackie Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held following the visitation.

Survivors include daughters, Betty (James) Padgett of Camden, Dorothy (James) Nelson of Alexander City; daughter in laws, Carolyn Townson of Evergreen,  Judy Townson of Social Circle, Georgia; brother, Lamar (Dot) Sims of California, grandchildren, Nita (Mark) Roberts of Evergreen, Debbie (Bob) Burk of Alexander City, Steve (Rachel) Padgett of Frisco City, Todd Townson of Prattville, Kevin (Amy) Townson of Alaska, Kenny (Christy) Townson of Brewton, Bobby (Lori) Townson of Brewton, Jim (Melody) Nelson of Tallasse, Melanie (David) Forbus of Alexander City, Chad (Paige) Nelson of Opelika, Kim (Eric) Gray of Evergreen and Logan Townson of Prattville. 24 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Cladie Townson; sons, Dale Townson, and Delan Townson.
