Mrs. Mary Etta Hawsey of Evergreen passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 in Mobile, Al. She was 82. 
 

Mrs. Hawsey retired from Conecuh County School System in 1999 after 26 years of service. She was an active member of Bower Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping with VBS each summer. She loved playing Skip Bo, dominoes and spending time with family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am., Friday, April 1, 2022 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Brownville Cemetery. Rev. Jim Griffin and Rev. Neal Butler will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm., until 8:00 pm., Thursday, March 31, 2022. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.

7 grandkids, 12 great grandkids, 3 great great grandkids

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Falkenberry and Lillie Driver Falkenberry, son, Wade Holcombe, daughters, Mary Ann Pugh and Donna Kay Holcombe, brothers, Leslie Falkenberry , Clinton Falkenberry and Glenn Falkenberry , and sisters, Mavis Brown and Bessie Johnson.
