He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Ray Padgett and Ruby Faye Smith Padgett; brothers, Elbert Ray Padgett and Lougene Padgett. A lifetime resident of Evergreen,
He owned and operated a diesel mechanic company, Padgett Enterprises, and this past July he celebrated 50 years of being in business. His family described him as a “workaholic”; he worked until October 22, 2020, when he became very sick. He was the founder of the H.O.G. Pensacola Chapter, a Harley Davidson Riding Club. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and especially taking his grandchildren on trips. He will be greatly missed.
