The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Monday prior to departing for the cemetery. The family request that COVID precautions be taken and a mask worn. Rev. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Bush, Joseph Smith, Ethan Lambert, and Christopher Smith.
Left to cherish her memory, daughter,Jeanita Jones (David) of Valley Grande, Alabama; sons, Donnie Waters (Hazel) and E.J. Waters (Mary), all of Evergreen; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. Waters, Sr. in 2008; and three sons, Ronnie, Gary, and Holland.
A lifelong resident of Evergreen, she was also a lifelong member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church. Prior to her health declining, she greatly enjoyed "putting up" vegetables, and especially "creamin' corn". Her family reminisced that she was a wonderful cook and was the "best biscuit maker in the world!". The grandson, Jay echoed that statement! She will be greatly missed.
