Linda W. (Waters) Wright

Mrs. Linda W. Wright passed away Tuesday March 1, 2022 at her residence. She was 77.

Mrs. Wright graduated from Evergreen High in 1962. She graduated Massey Draughon Business School 1963. She worked as a secretary at MetLife Insurance Co., was a lunch lady at Sparta Academy, served as social director at the Evergreen Nursing Home and as a bookkeeper at Miller Trading Co.

She was an active member of Bower Memorial Baptist Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher, director of WMU and was on a number of committees. She helped with many projects in the community over the years. She loved to cook and sew for her granddaughter. Also to bake cakes and spend time with her family. 

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am., Friday, March 4, 2022 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Griffin and Neal Butler will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.

She is survived by her, husband of 58 years, Nathan E. Wright of Evergreen, son, Daniel N. Wright of Clayton, N.C. and daughter, Diane (Darrell) W. Lee of McKenzie, grandchildren, Landan and Sydney Lee of McKenzie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Esther and Georgia Mae (Coleman) Waters, and stepfather, Loren Smith.
