Ms. Lillian Lagares of Miramar, Florida passed away Monday, September 14, 2020. She was 72.

Private services are being handled by Cope-Keahey Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Left to cherish her memory, son, Matthew Toledo (Roxanne), brothers, Rolando Zapata, Jr., (Margracy) and Raul Zapata; sister, Sandra Core (Luis), sister-in-law, Vincenza Zapata, nieces and nephews, Daniel Zapata (Kim), Lisa McManus (Joseph) Shilo Castro (Felix), Isaac Zapata (Gulce') Gabriel Cano;  great nieces and nephews, Emily Zapata, Faith Zapata, Madison Zapata, Devon Zapata, Mia Zapata, Ryan McManus, Kaizen Castro and Kalea Castro; grandchildren, Kiera Morales, Sadie Taveras, Elijah Erwin Toledo; great grandchild, Ezekiel Ortiz.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rolando Zapata, Sr.; mother, Clara Virgen Sierra Zapata, brother, Carlos Zapata and son, Rafael J. Toledo and husband Louis Lagares.

Lillian loved to clean, clean more and then clean some more! She loved to sweep leaves in the yard, wash the vehicle, go shopping at JC Penney's and Walmart. She dearly loved her family, especially her sons, daughters and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
