Mr. Joseph L. Varner of Evergreen passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019. He was 88.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Cope Keahey Funeral Home with Rev. Hughie Denton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. 

Survivors include his son, Joey (Janice) Varner of Evergreen; sister, Polly Hall of Evergreen; grandchildren, Heather Varner, Josh (Jeana) Varner and four great-grandchildren. 

Mr. Varner is preceded in death by his loving wife Helen Varner, infant son Kent Varner and brother Byron Curtis Varner Jr.

Pallbearers include Johnathan Riley, Jackson Riley, Quin Riley, Morgan Riley, John Salter and J.C. Salter.

Honorary Pallbearers include Dewayne Riley and Wayne Salter.
