Mr. John Randall Williams age 78 of McKenzie, AL passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on May 2, 2025.

 

Randy was born and raised in Georgiana, AL. He is a graduate of Georgiana High School. He obtained a double major in Biology and Psychology from Troy University and a Master’s in Education from Troy University. Randy most notably served as Principal of McKenzie High School.

 

Currently, he pastored Shackleville Baptist Church. Mr. Williams was well known to his community for his commitment to Education. His commitment to our Lord and Savior was evident in his daily servings.

 

Randy loved the game of golf. After retirement, you could find him on the course. Many days teaching his Grandson the love for the game.

 

He was a devoted Husband, Father and Papa. He never missed an opportunity to spend an afternoon with his family, enjoying all the laughter with his children and grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025. Visitation will begin at 2pm with the service beginning at 3pm. at New Home Baptist Church, HWY. 47 McKenzie, AL.

 

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carol Williams of McKenzie, AL; daughter, Haden Horton of McKenzie, AL, Abby Ward (Charlie) of Evergreen, AL; granddaughter, Bentley Kelley (Cody) of McKenzie, Sydney Horton of McKenzie; grandson, Clark Ward of Evergreen and great grandson Tate Kelley of McKenzie and many beloved nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ada Belle Williams and sister Martha Jo Huggins.
