John Robinson Obituary

Mr. John Law Robinson, age 91, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023.
 

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Northcutt Robinson; son, Edward Brownlow Robinson of Evergreen; daughters, Melissa Robinson of Evergreen and Mary Claire Warlick (Chuck) of Birmingham; daughter-in-law, Martha Blair Robinson; brother, Colonel Charles William Robinson (Barbara) of Dunwoody, Georgia; grandchildren, John Law Robinson III (Katie), Mary Hamilton Graves (Chandler), Claire Cunningham (Chris), Jim Warlick, Rob Warlick (Katie); 6 great grandchildren and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents John William Robinson and Vida Law Robinson and sons John Law Robinson, Jr. (Martha) and James “Jim” Edward Robinson.

 

Mr. Robinson was born in Tennessee, moved to Evergreen as a child, and lived most of his adult life in Evergreen; he was a 1949 graduate of Evergreen High School and a 1957 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Agriculture. He served on the Bank of Evergreen Board of Directors, as Chairman of the Board at Sparta Academy, and as Chairman for the Conecuh County Republican Executive Committee and the Conecuh County Christian Support Group, all for many years. Mr. Robinson was a former coach and teacher, farmer and rancher, military serviceman and businessman.

 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, at 9:30 a.m.at Magnolia Cemetery.  After the graveside service, a time of family visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Evergreen beginning at 10:30 a.m.until time for the Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Serving as pallbearers for the graveside will be John Law Robinson III, Jim Warlick, Rob Warlick, Chandler Graves, Tom Nielsen, John A. Nielsen, Bruce Hutcheson, Phillip Jones, and Michael Cook. Bank of Evergreen Board of Directors will be serving as honorary pallbearers.

 

 

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Mark Roberts and other caregivers at the Evergreen Medical Center, to CenterWell Home Health Care, and to Margie Jackson.
