Mr. John Larry Pate of Belleville passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, at his residence. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Cope Keahey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Belleville Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Eva Suddith Pate of Belleville; sons, Scott (Loretta) Pate of Belleville and Jason Lee (Alison) Pate of Wetumpka; brother, Jerry (Bobbie) Pate of Fairnelson; sisters, Jolene (Jerold) Dean  of Evergreen, Judy Powe of Camden, Barbara Holt of Jackson and Nancy (Ronnie) Davis of Burnt Corn; grandchildren, John Austin Pate, Stephen Pate and William Chancey Pate; great-grandchildren, Katherine Alene Pate.

Serving as pallbearers are J D Holt, Daniel Holt, Will Cook, Tony Scott, Michael Pate and Josh Reeves.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Children’s Home, 3140 Zelda Ct, Montgomery AL., 36177; Pilots for Christ, 107 Airport Rd., Monroeville, AL., 36460 or St. Jude’s.
