Jerry Eugene Hardy Obituary

Mr. Jerry Eugene Hardy Sr. passed from this life on Monday, January 13, 2025. Formerly of Pensacola, FL moved to Alabama to retire. He graduated From Pensacola technical High School and attended Pensacola Jr. College. He worked at American Cyanamid as a lab tech for 37 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed golf. He was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and his community.

Funeral services will be held at 12pm, Friday, January 17, 2025, at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. Rev. Edward Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Cope-Keahey Funeral home will be directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include wife, Willie Mae Hardy; sons, Robert Hardy (Tawee) of Lowndesboro, AL and Jerry Hardy Jr. (Jennifer) Similton, AL; daughter, Kim Johns of Puerto Rico; step sons, Gary Spears of Geneva, AL and Steve Spears (Amanda) of Geneva, AL; sisters, Carol Hall (Richard) of Brewton, AL; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Hardy and brother, Larry Hardy.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Tanner Spears, Daryl Brantley, Jonathon Hardy, Jeh Hardy, John Richardson and Paul White. Honorary pallbearers will be, Riley Strength and Doug Lilllicrap.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pilots for Christ, a Children's Home or to a charity of ones choice.
