Jerry Evers

Jerry Booker Evers, age 79, of Evergreen, Alabama, passed away on June 22, 2026, at Evergreen Medical Center.

Born on July 29, 1946, Jerry was a devoted husband, father, Pawpaw, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jerry enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a passion for coaching Little League baseball for many years. He also loved talking on the phone with two of his closest friends, Tom Jones of Evergreen and Charles Varner of Brewton.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna W. Evers.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Evers Johnson of Evergreen; grandson, Jared Lee Johnson (Emily); great-grandchildren, Willow and Wilder Davis; and an expected great-grandchild, Baby Johnson, due in December 2026, all of Evergreen. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Micky Williams of Dauphin Island, and sister-in-law, Angel Jeffries of Evergreen, along with numerous extended family members and friends.

In accordance with Jerry's wishes, he will be cremated and laid to rest at Magnolia Cemetery. No services will be held.
