Mr. James “Jim” Conrad Rigsby of Evergreen passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Evergreen Nursing Home. He was 78.
A private graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2020 at Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen. Rev. Mark Whittington and Rev. Jack Williamson will officiate. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Evergreen Baptist Church, 107 Parker St., Evergreen, AL 36401.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Betty Bowers Rigsby; sons, Benjamin (Lisa) Rigsby of Hoover, AL; Mark Conrad (Melanie) Rigsby of Hattiesburg, MS; brother, Robert Dunn (Lynda) Rigsby of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, James Alexander Rigsby, Bailey Michelle Rigsby, Henry Coleman Rigsby, Emma Faith Rigsby, Samuel McGee Rigsby.
James became a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church at a very young age; he and Betty grew up in the church together as childhood friends, then teenage sweethearts which lead to many years of a beautiful marriage. He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He joined the Knud Nielson Company, Inc. in 1976 and remained a vital company employee until his retirement in 2007. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his Lord and Savior.
