James DeWayne Freeman (know as Wayne to friends and family) 66, of Evergreen, went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2023. He passed away unexpectedly in his sleep.
Wayne was born to James Freeman and Francis Nobles on October 24, 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Evergreen. He loved carpentry and spent many years in construction. James was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church and a former deacon and Sunday school teacher. He loves the outdoors, hunting, and fishing- close friends and family could share many stories of their adventures.
Wayne was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, James, his sisters, Mary Jordan and Linda Sue Ward, and his brother, Garvin Freeman. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Freeman Sinclair, his grandson, Mitchell Sinclair, Patricia Freeman (mother of his daughter), his brother Tommy (Cindy) Freeman, his sister-in-law, Debra Freeman, his step-grandchildren (Destiny, Hannah, and Hayden Hall and Jameson Samuel) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who stayed at his home as much as his own.
A memorial service has not been decided at this time as the family is still in shock and grieving. Future arrangements will be made. You may reach out to find out details.
