Mr. Joe David “J.D.” Smith passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. He was 84.

Mr. Smith faithfully attended Oak Grove Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also was the last of his 21 siblings and the youngest.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm., Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Oak Grove Holiness Church. Rev. Jeff Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am., until time of service at the church. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.

He is survived by his son, Bernie Payne of Kentucky, daughters, Michelle Docherty of Pensacola, Fl, Gennie Smith of Grand Rivers, Ky, and Serina Smith, 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers, Nicholas Bodin, Samuel McDaniel, and James Cumba.
