George Pate

Mr. George Herman Pate of Castleberry, Alabama passed away Friday, April 2, 2021, in the Andalusia Manor. He was 91.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home in Evergreen. Rev. Andy Peavy will officiate and provide special music. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2021 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home in Evergreen.
Interment will follow in Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Avery Pate, Jonathan Andrew Pate, Joshua Brian Wiggins, Jerrold Bluhm, Caleb Bluhm, and John Bluhm. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Lee Bryant and Jacob Wiggins.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Bertie Ross Pate; sons, Thomas Jerome Brook (Nancy) of McDavid, Florida and Michael Andrew Pate (Deborah) of Castleberry, Alabama; daughters, Mary Wheeler (Skibo) of Red Level; Harriett West Of Andalusia; 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
