Mr. Franklin Delano Sellers of Northport, Al, formerly of Evergreen passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. He was 87.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McKenzie. Minister Mike Jones will officiate; Lori Gill will share a poem; a grandson Will Sellers will pray, and special music will be provided. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Gill, Frank Deason, Charlie Taylor, Will Sellers, Tim Taylor, Edward Hudson.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Peggie Jones Sellers of Northport, AL; son, Freddie (Lynn) Sellers of Monroeville, AL; daughter, Angelia (Tim) Taylor of Wilsonville, AL; brother, Miller (Gloria) Sellers of Evergreen; sister, Annie Mae (Charles) Presley of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Lori (Andrew) Gill, Will (Rachel) Sellers, Josh (Lauren)Sellers, Anna Taylor, Charlie Taylor.
Mr. Franklin attended McKenzie High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of Evergreen Church of Christ; he had been a sheet metal worker with Southern Coach. After retirement, he started building furniture for family and friends; became an avid gardener, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
