Mrs. Evelyn House Pipkin the “Queen of Skinnerton” passed away Monday, July 1, 2025 at her residence. She was 90.
Funeral services will be held 11am, July 5, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Church. Bro. Buddy Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Mt. Pleasant Church.
Survivors include, son, Allen Pipkin of Skinnerton Community; daughters, Charlotte P. Tucker of Skinnerton Community, Brenda Stacey (Skip) of Skinnerton Community; sister, Myrtle Tolbert of Mobile; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Pipkin is preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Shine” Pipkin; sons, Harry V. Pipkin Jr., Jesse Pipkin; daughter, Evelyn Gail Pipkin; parents, Sular Mae Varner and Jesse House.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Pipkin, Chip Stacey, Wendy Yeager, Hunter Tucker, Amber Cook and Jamie Yeagen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tripp Stacey, Colton Stacey and Johnie Holland.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery Fund.
