Mr. Edward "Crow" Hawsey, age 79 of Evergreen passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Evergreen Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 29th 2024 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Brownsville Memorial Cemetery. A family visitation will be held from 5 to 6 pm. Tuesday, May 28th. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 28th at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home.

He was born August 4, 1944 to John William Hawsey and Mattie T. Hawsey. He worked with Stephen Roberts and later with Gerber childrenswear, retiring after more than 30 years of working.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Falkenberry Hawsey in 2022 and also by his daughter, Maryann Pugh and a son, Wade Holcombe;  sisters, Willie Jean Hawsey, Candy Phillips, Frances Rogers, Mary Ellen King, brothers, Fred Hawsey, John Hawsey, Jr., 

Left to cherish his memory, children. Charlene Smith (Tommy), Sarah Tolin  (Dennis Pittman), Carol Hamrac (Keith),  many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, his brother, Jimmy Hawsey (Glenda) of Andalusia, and many nieces and nephews.

Prior to Edward "Crow's" health declining, he enjoyed his retirement years with fishing, hanging out with his buddies at Hardees, and attending and singing in the choir at Bower Baptist Church and mostly spending time with his family.
