Eddie Franklin Shell, age 76 of Evergreen passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Steve Dunn and Rev. Greg Hart will officiate. Interment will follow in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Beesley, Wayne English, Alvin Varner, Sammy Davis, Jimmy Zellers, and Hunter Shell Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is directing. 

Left to cherish his memory, daughter, Renee Richardson (Matt) of Evergreen, AL;  brother, Jettie Shell of Evergreen, AL; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Richardson and Taylor Richardson; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Zellers Shell in 2012, his parents, Robert Lofton Shell and Daisy Cole Shell, brother, Robert Lee Shell and sister, Evelyn Tatum.

He retired as a superintendent with the City of Evergreen and was a member of the Conecuh County Cattlemen's Association
