Donnie Wood Hodges

Mr. Donnie Wood Hodges was born April 14, 1936 in Andalusia, Al. He was a Long time resident of Evergreen, Al. He was 86. He passed away surrounded by family and loved ones at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fl. on October 12, 2022. 

Donnie graduated from Vigor High School in 1955. He served in the army 82nd Airborn division. He was a member of the Flatrock Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department for 20 years. He was a devoted member of Jones Chapel Church, As well as an active member of the community.

Donnie will be deeply missed by family and friends. He will always live forever in their hearts. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am., Monday, October 17, 2022 at Jones Chapel.  Bro. Russell Lynch will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.  Cope-Keahey Funeral Home directing.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elayne Lynch, Sons, Jim Barron and wife Esmeralda, Dennis Hodges and wife Kim, Donald Hodges, Jimmy Andrews, Timmy Andrews, Stephen Andrews, and Tony Andrews. Daughter Margie Andrews Parrott and husband Tim Parrott. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
