Donald Ray Owens

Mr. Donald Ray Owens, age, 94 of Evergreen passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Owens was a lifelong resident of Evergreen; he served in the Air Force during World War II. A member of the Evergreen Baptist Church he sang in the choir for 62 years and served as a Deacon. He loved deer hunting and Alabama football.

Funeral services will be held 3:00pm., Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Evergreen Baptist Church. Rev. Ryan Johnson and Rev. Mark Whittington will officiate with Cope Keahey Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. 

Survivors include; loving wife of 72 years, Carolyn Owens of Evergreen; son, Don (Sharon) Owens of Evergreen; grandchildren; Gil (Amanda) Ralls, Mandy (Ryan) Johnson, Cass (Michael) Pate, Dray (Skye) Owens, Anna (Jeff) Greene; 14 great grandchildren

Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Owens Ralls

Serving as pallbearers; Gil Ralls, Bailey Ralls, Dray Owens, Michael Pate, Jeff Greene,  and John Johnston.
