Clarence Carrier Obituary

Clarence E. (Buddy) Carrier III, of Evergreen passed away Saturday August 14th, 2021. He was 63.

 

Buddy was a 1976 graduate of Sparta Academy and was a member of the Warrior football team. He was a business owner as well as worked most of his career in the trucking industry. He enjoyed fishing as well as spending time with his family and friends. 

 

“He was a gentleman, a lovely man, kind-hearted, loyal and funny.” “You could not help but love Big Bud.” One former classmate said, “He was the dearest and sweetest person in our class.”

 

A private service for his family and close friends will be held later. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence E Carrier Jr, Betty Bettis Carrier and sister Marqueeta Carrier Powell. He is survived by sisters Val Carrier, Chris (Tim) Carrier Garmon, both of Birmingham and two nephews Chadd Powell & John Powell both of Evergreen. He is also survived by one Aunt, Betty Carrier Booker and two Uncles, Walter Carrier and Wayne Carrier as well as numbers cousins.

 

For a number of years, he was a faithful volunteer with the Evergreen Fire Department and the Conecuh County Rescue Squad. We would ask that any gifts on his behalf be given to the  Evergreen Fire Department or the Conecuh County Rescue Squad.
