Calvin Varner Obituary

Mr. Calvin Clifford Varner of Evergreen passed away Friday, April 3, 2020, at his residence.


A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Old Town Church Cemetery. Rev. Jason Davis will officiate. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
The state guidelines for COVID-19 will be implemented at the graveside. Those wishing to attend the graveside can remain in their vehicles. Any attendees wishing to bring a personal note to the family, it can be given to a funeral home attendant. 
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Terry Varner; daughter, Vicky (Andrew) Pipkin, III of Evergreen; brothers,  Alvin (Wendy) Varner of Evergreen and O’Neal (Alene) Varner of Brewton; Gordon (Tammy) Varner of Evergreen; sister, Lucy (Myron) Raines of Evergreen; granddaughter, Makayla LeAnn Pipkin, and grandson, Hunter Wesley Pipkin.
A lifelong resident of Conecuh County, Calvin graduated from Lyeffion High School in 1978. Their family attended “The Way of the Cross” Church in McKenzie. He loved being outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing and riding his tractor. He will be greatly missed.
