Mr. Morris Potts, age 73, of Theodore Alabama passed away Wednesday, October 23 at his home. Morris was born to the late Clint Robert and Eula Mae Potts. He graduated from Evergreen High School in 1964. Early in life he was a merchant marine and loved telling of his travels abroad. He retired from CSX Railroad in 2007. He was an amazing father and beloved Poppie to all that knew him. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11 am., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Jones Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Rebecca H. Potts.

Son, Brian Potts (Bonnie) of Brandon, MS; daughter, Martha Frantz of Oklahoma City, OK;grandsons, Tyler Skinner (Rachel) of Mobile, AL and Michael Brinson (Lauren) of Lynchburg, VA; great grandson, Elijah Skinner of Mobile; siblings, Clint Potts (June) of Mobile, AL, John Potts (Sarah) of Flatrock, AL, Anne Sullivan (Sean) of Evergreen, AL, Regina Lynch (Bayne) of Axis, AL, Louise Gaskey(Wayne) of Flatrock, AL, Sylvia Hinton of Brewton, AL, Mary Murphy of Atmore, AL, and Stephen Potts of Flatrock, AL;other family members; Betty Hawkins (Billy) of Helen, GA, Rodney Harden (Kay) of Dallas, Texas, John Harden (Karen) of Jennings, LA, Cindy Little of Saraland, AL, Joey Harden (Brenda) of Theodore, AL, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Morris’ caregiver, Shauneka O’Field, for her dedicated and faithful service.
