Mary Jane Covin

Mary Jane Covin, age 84, of Evergreen AL passed on August 4, 2018. She was born January 1, 1934 to Julia and Paul Kolnik in Akron Ohio. There she met and married Coy Covin and together they had 5 children before moving to Evergreen where they also raised 2 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Cope Keahey Chapel with Bro. Grady Covin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Lonestar Cemetery.

Mrs Covin was an entrepreneur, hobbyist and crafter. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with her family. She welcomed her 30th great grandchild on August 3rd, only a day before she went home to be with Our Father.

She was preceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Coy H. Covin, sister Betty Fielding and a great grandson Easton Mixon.

Her survivors include a sister Janet Fye and brother Paul Kolnik. Children- Bill Covin, Coy Covin, Robin (Johnny)Blair, Tammy Pierce, Terry Covin-Wilson. Grandchildren- Scott (Tasha) Covin, Brandy Covin, Jacob Covin, Mary Duggar, Charlene McDow, Dixie Covin, Joshua Covin, Elizabeth Covin, Stephanie Blair, Amanda Waguespack, John Blair, Daniel Mixon, Danielle Mixon, Cody Mixon, Tabitha Rodriguez and Michael Beede. 30 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and many nieces, cousins, nephews and friends.
