Myrtice Irene Bodiford, age 90 of Kinston passed away April 2, 2024, in a Dothan hospital.
A native of Conecuh County, Myrtice has resided in Kinston since 2010 to be with family. She was a past member of Lyeffion Baptist Church and currently a member of Hacoda Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and during her working years worked in the Pro Shop at the Evergreen Country Club.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Glenn Tatum will officiate. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Brenda Pridgen (Roger) of Hacoda; Lin Tranter (Bill) of Enon, Ohio; Elaine Edwards of Kinston, AL; step-daughter, Mary Baggett Griffin (Sawyer) of Monroeville, AL; half-sisters, Karyle Nelson of Saraland and Sharon Terrell (Jeff) of Theadore, AL; grandchildren, Derek Tranter (Stacey), Darrell Tranter (Shannon), April Bennett (Mike), Alaina Puderbaugh (Andy), Gary Parker (Monica), Blake Edwards (Sharon); 10 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen H. Bodiford, daughter, Diane Bodiford and son, Everett Bodiford; second husband, Samuel Gaines, great great grandson, Holdon and sister, Bernace Odom.
