Lawrence W. Rodgers

1947-2018

Lawrence W. Rodgers, 70, of Evergreen, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. He called Pensacola, Florida home for over 45 years.

Lawrence served 20 years in the U.S. Navy with 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam. He received many awards and accommodations along the way. He retired from AMTRAK in 2013 after 15 years of service.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Ben Rodgers; sister, Tessie Rodgers and brother, Bobbie Rodgers.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sarah J. Rodgers; brothers, Ben Rodgers and Frank Rodgers; sister, Marie Rodgers and numerous nieces and nephews.

After a private visitation in Evergreen, on Sunday, February 11, 2018 his remains were cremated and sent to Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola, Florida to await burial. Inter0ment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida with full military honors. (Date to be determined).
