Larry Harden

Mr. Larry Herbert Harden, age 71 passed away at his residence on March 1, 2017.

Mr. Harden served in the United States Navy, was employed by numerous trucking and logging companies during his lifetime. He also served as Fire Chief for the Herbert Volunteer Fire Department for several years.

Mr. Harden is predeceased by his parents, L. M. “Red” Harden and Alice Stinson Harden.

He is survived by one daughter, Vicky (Michael) Brogden of Andalusia, Al. and one son, Clarence “Junior” (Melisa) Dunn of Evergreen, Al. Two brothers; Donnie (Melba) Harden of Wetumpka, Al. and Paul M. (Regenia) Harden of Monroeville, Al. Also survived by six grandchildren and his special friend, Nancy Dunn, numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Herbert Cemetery, in the Herbert community on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Cleveland Brown Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Herbert Volunteer Fire Department, 29568 Highway 84, Evergreen, Al. 36401, in Mr. Harden’s memory.
