J.D. Taylor

Mr. J.D. Taylor, age 93 of Evergreen passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Evergreen Medical Center in Evergreen, AL

Mr. Taylor was born January 20, 1923 to John David Taylor and Annie O. Castleberry Taylor. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II.  

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday January 9, 2017at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10th at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Dollar will officiate. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with Cope-Keahey Funeral Home directing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Frazier Taylor, brothers, Alvin Ray Taylor, William Edward Taylor, sisters, Ruby Long, Ethel Johnson, and Ruth Ralls.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Barbara Taylor of Mesa, Arizona; Elaine (Bob) Glenn of Lago Vista, Texas; Joy (Kirk) Davenport of Birmingham, AL; sons, Robert (Mary) Taylor of Eustace, Texas; Rick (Sharon) Taylor of Anamosa, Iowa; brother, Johnny Taylor, Crestview, FL sisters, Frances (Martin) Hicks of Coy, Al, Annie Sue Rabren of Evergreen; 17 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
