Edna Pate Cobb

January 19, 1937 ~ March 13, 2016 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Edna “Faye” Pate Cobb, a native of Brooklyn, Alabama and a longtime resident of Selma, Alabama, passed away at Golden Living Nursing Center in Foley, Alabama after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Before the disease took over, Ms. Cobb worked most of her adult life at American Apparel and Meadow craft Industries in Selma AL. After retiring, she enjoyed spending most of her time at her grandchildren’s various sporting events and most of her winters were spent at the Riverdale Hunting Camp.

Mrs. Cobb was a devoted wife of 58 years to her late husband, James Marvin Cobb, who passed away September 15, 2012. She was a loving mother to her two daughters Sheila Cobb (Ernie) McCraney and Brenda Cobb (Sean) Knights and she was an amazing grandmother to her granddaughters Brittany McCraney Moody, Ashton McCraney, Leslie Ammons and Lendsy Ammons. She had five great grandchildren Morgan and Carson Moody, Brodie and Bryce Ammons and McKinleigh McCraney. She is also survived by her brothers Frank Pate Jr, Bobby Pate and Larry Pate and her sisters Ann Pridgen and Ealon Dillinghsaw.

She is proceeded in death by her husband James Marvin Cobb, her sons James Byron Cobb and James Gregory Cobb. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Annie) Pate Sr. her brothers Lamar Pate, Wesley Pate and sisters Montez Hawsey and Imogene Weaver.

Funeral Services for Ms. Cobb will be Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:30p.m. at Cope-Keahey Funeral Home in Evergreen Alabama, visitation will be from 2:00-2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Paul Alabama.
