Eddie Lee Sasser

Eddie Lee Sasser, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Evergreen, AL. She was born on March 29, 1925 in Conecuh County, AL to the late Herman and Pearl Holley. She was a lifelong resident of Conecuh County. Mrs. Sasser was a longtime member of Evergreen First United Methodist Church. She worked as a seamstress at Lady Arrow for 25 years before retiring. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray F. Sasser; her son, Jerry K. Sasser; her daughter, Shirley Dailey; and nine of her siblings.

She is survived by Son: Eddie Ray (Joyce) Sasser, Greenville, AL; Daughter: Doris (David) Gorum, Evergreen, AL; Sister:Pearline Broughton, Chickasaw, AL; Son-in-law: Ron Dailey, Evergreen, AL; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Cope-Keahey Funeral Chapel with visitation an hour prior. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery following the service. Cope-Keahey Funeral Home of Evergreen will be directing arrangements.
