Dorothy Thomas Reeves

Mrs. Dorothy Thomas Reeves, age 97 of Evergreen, passed away on January 24, 2016 at Westgate Village Nursing Facility in Brewton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00am at Old Town Baptist Church on HWY 31, Evergreen, AL. with Cope-Keahey Funeral Home of Evergreen directing. The officiating pastor will be Reverend John Finklea.

Mrs. Reeves was born in Evergreen and a long time resident of Monroeville before moving to Brewton AL. She retired from Monroeville Telephone Company as an operator after thirty-five years. She was a member of the Monroeville Eastern Star and her passion was gardening and sharing her beautiful flowers with friends. She was known by friends and family as, "Mama Dot."

Mrs. Reeves is survived by her daughter Sandra Bradley; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Potts Reeves; four grandchildren, Victor Reeves, Marna Reeves, Kim (Craig) Bradley Barzso, Kenneth (Katy) Bradley and five great-grandchildren, Katherine Reeves, Isaac and Phoebe Barzso, Max, Riley and Evie Bradley. Other surviving family members include nephews, nieces and cousins of the Thomas and Reeves families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Viola Thomas; husband, W.T. Reeves; son Alvin Reeves and three sisters, Lola, Helen, and Louise.
